Tatsuno Art Project

Sounds of Satoyama – Resonance with Nature

Tatsuno City in Hyogo Prefecture, once a cultural and commercial hub of the ancient Harima region, has flourished as a historic castle town with a rich heritage. “Tatsuno Art” is an artistic initiative that not only preserves cultural assets but also aims to revitalize the region by showcasing its unique appeal both domestically and internationally. Since its launch in 2011, the project has placed great importance on active communication with local citizens, striving to create a space where people can gather and culture can be nurtured.

In 2025, under the theme “Resonance of Satoyama: Harmony with Nature,” artists from diverse cultural backgrounds will present exhibitions and host workshops inspired by the rich natural environment of Tatsuno’s satoyama—the traditional rural landscape. Visitors will be invited to experience contemporary artistic expression in dialogue with nature and to connect with the local landscape and sensibility.
